Knights of Éanna at the European Club Cup 2026
The 41st European Club Cup is taking place in Budva, Montenegro, from 17–23 October, bringing together 108 teams from across Europe for seven rounds of competition.
The tournament features some of the world's leading chess players, with the clubs fielding teams with chess stars like Anish Giri, Arjun Erigaisi, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Wei Yi and Richard Rapport. It's a great opportunity for our players to represent Knights of Éanna alongside some of the biggest names in chess.

Round 1
Knights of Éanna opened their campaign on Saturday 17 October against Chessclub Differdange from Luxembourg, a higher-rated team featuring four FIDE Masters.
Despite being the underdogs on every board, the team did well to only narrowly lose 3½–2½, with two impressive individual victories for Alexander and Conor and a draw for Oisín on board 1.
Follow our club's progress
The competition continues until Friday 23 October, with Knights of Éanna facing Gambit Bonnevoie, another Luxembourg club, in Round 2 on Sunday.
